# Terms of Use

Last updated: October 10, 2026

These terms cover the Gnuke Chrome extension, the Gnuke phone app at [app.getgnuke.com](https://app.getgnuke.com), and this website. By installing or using Gnuke, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Gnuke.

## What Gnuke does

Gnuke connects to your Gmail account with your permission. When you nuke a sender, it unsubscribes you from that sender and moves every email that sender ever sent you to Gmail's Trash. It can also create a Gmail filter that sends a sender's future mail to Trash (Block), scan your newsletters and promos so you can clear several senders at once, and keep a private list of what you did so you can undo it. Gnuke does not delete mail permanently.

How unsubscribing works depends on the sender. Gnuke reports the result for each one honestly, and some senders will still need you to finish on their page. We can't promise that a sender will stop mailing you. The [how it works](/#how) section on the home page walks through each case, and our [privacy policy](/privacy) explains what Gnuke can see.

## You are responsible for what you nuke

You choose which senders to nuke, block or keep. Check the sender before you click. Mail from a bank, a school, a landlord or a doctor can look like a newsletter. Gnuke never touches starred mail, and you can choose to keep mail you have labeled, mail Gmail marks as important, and a sender's newest 1, 3 or 10 emails. Senders on your keep list are never offered for nuking. Those protections only work if you set them up the way you want.

## Trash and the Undo window

Nuked mail goes to Gmail's Trash, and Gmail keeps Trash for 30 days. Gnuke's Undo can put everything back during those 30 days. After that, Gmail removes it and Gnuke can't restore it. If you empty your Trash yourself, or Google changes how Trash works, Undo may not be able to restore everything.

## Free and paid plans

Gnuke is free for up to 10 nukes a month, with every feature, in the extension and the phone app. A nuke is one sender (or one whole domain) unsubscribed and cleared. Undo gives that nuke back. The count starts over on the first of each month.

Gnuke Unlimited removes the limit. It costs $29.99 a year or $4.99 a month, in US dollars, plus any tax your country adds. One plan covers the Gmail account you buy it with and up to 4 more accounts you use Gnuke with on the same computer or phone. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

## Renewal, cancelling and refunds

- Unlimited renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel in one click from Gnuke (the toolbar popup, or Settings in the phone app). You keep Unlimited until the end of the period you paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- If you change your mind, ask for a refund within 14 days of a payment and you'll get all of it back, no questions. Write to [hello@getgnuke.com](mailto:hello@getgnuke.com) from the address you bought with.
- When you try to cancel, we may offer a discount to stay. Saying no cancels the plan just the same.
- Discount codes are for one use, by new customers, before their expiry date, and can't be exchanged for cash.
- We may change prices or plan limits. A new price never applies to a period you already paid for, and we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal.

## Acceptable use

You agree not to:

- use Gnuke on a Google account that isn't yours or that you aren't allowed to manage;
- use Gnuke to harass a sender, to get around a legal hold, or to destroy mail you are required to keep;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer Gnuke except where the law allows it;
- interfere with Gnuke, this website, or Google's services.

You must also follow Google's own terms for Gmail and Chrome.

## No warranty

Gnuke is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Gnuke depends on Gmail, Chrome and the senders you deal with, none of which we control. Google can change how Gmail works, and senders can ignore unsubscribe requests. We don't promise that Gnuke will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every change Google makes.

## Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Gnuke and its owner are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost mail, lost data, lost profits or lost opportunities, arising from your use of Gnuke. Our total liability for any claim related to Gnuke is limited to the amount you paid us for Gnuke in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.

## Not affiliated with Google

Gnuke is not made by or affiliated with Google. Gmail and Chrome are trademarks of Google LLC.

## Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using Gnuke after a change, you accept the new terms. If we make a material change, we will say so on this page.

## Ending your use

You can stop using Gnuke at any time by uninstalling the extension and revoking its access at [myaccount.google.com/permissions](https://myaccount.google.com/permissions). We may suspend access to Gnuke for anyone who breaks these terms.
