# Delete your Gnuke account

Gnuke has no password or account of its own. You sign in with Google, and Gnuke keeps a small record about that address. Deleting your account erases it, and it takes a minute.

- In the app
- In the extension
- In any browser

## How to delete it

- On your phone: open the Gnuke app, go to Settings , tap Delete next to Delete account, then Delete account .
- In Chrome, Edge or Firefox: click the Gnuke icon in the toolbar, open Settings , click Delete next to Delete account, then Delete account .
- In any browser, without installing anything: go to [app.getgnuke.com](https://app.getgnuke.com/), sign in with the Google account you want to delete, then follow the phone steps above.

Gnuke asks you to sign in with Google if it needs to confirm it's you. If you can't sign in anymore, email [hello@getgnuke.com](mailto:hello@getgnuke.com) from that address and we'll delete it for you.

## What gets deleted

- Your plan record: your email address, plan, renewal date and the other accounts on your plan.
- Your customer record at Stripe, our payment processor, with the card on file. A subscription ends right away and isn't charged again. There's no refund for the time left, and a lifetime plan ends for good. Stripe keeps its records of past payments for as long as the law requires.
- Your free-nuke count, any discount offer you were given, your friend code and your launch-list signup.
- The sync file in your Google Drive, if you turned sync on.
- The history, Undo records, kept senders and settings Gnuke stored on the device you delete from.
- Gnuke's access to your Gmail. Google takes it back, so Gnuke can't open your mailbox again unless you sign in.

## What stays

- Your mail. Anything Gnuke moved is in Gmail's Trash for 30 days from when it was moved, the same as before.
- Senders you blocked. Those are filters in your own Gmail. Unblock them in Gnuke before you delete, or remove them later under Gmail's Filters and blocked addresses.
- How many free nukes you used , with no email address attached, so deleting and signing in again doesn't restart the free count. It's stored under a one-way code made from your address and comes back only if the same address signs in again.
- Gnuke on your other devices. Sign out there, or uninstall it, to clear what it stored on them.

The [privacy policy](/privacy) lists everything Gnuke keeps and why.
